M-A WELCOMES ANDREW DIEHL AS NEW VARSITY BOYS TENNIS COACH

M-A Hires Andrew Diehl as Varsity Boys Tennis Coach ATHERTON, CA — October 19, 2026 — Menlo-Atherton High School Athletic Directors Paul Snow and Steven Kryger are proud to announce the hiring of Andrew Diehl as the new head coach of the Boys Varsity Tennis team. Andrew Diehl brings experience coaching high school tennis and developing junior players throughout the Peninsula. At Sacred Heart Preparatory, he served as boys junior varsity head coach and varsity assistant, helping players develop their technical skills, match strategy, and competitive confidence. He has also coached with Dexterity Tennis and Player Capital Tennis in Atherton, as well as EPATT, working with players across a wide range of ages and abilities. As a junior player, Diehl competed at the sectional and national levels. He also played varsity tennis at Menlo School, helping the team win a Northern California championship and two Central Coast Section championships. “I’m excited to join the M-A community and get to know the players,” Diehl said. “Coaching at SHP showed me how much I enjoy working with a team and helping players develop throughout a season. I want every player to feel valued, understand what they’re working on and why, and take pride in their contribution to the team. My goal is to help them become better players and dependable teammates who take responsibility for their effort and focus on what they can control rather than results.” M-A’s Athletic Director Paul Snow added, “We are very excited to have Andrew join our coaching staff and assume leadership of our Boys Tennis program. His expertise and experience will ensure the continued success and growth of this established and proud program on campus.”
